Cross Hold Old City
The “Old City” of Cross Hold includes most of the Northern and Western portions of the city. This region was once the most prominent and thriving district, containing the homes of aristocrats and nobles, marketplaces trading in high quality goods, and, of course, the palace. This area was also the center of the civil war between Albert Cross and David Cross, which resulted in significant destruction in that area.
The “Old City” was ordered sealed off by the remaining leaders after the war ended, to prevent looters from raiding the many wealthy mansions that stood abandoned. Standing orders have been upheld since that time, almost 200 years ago, that prevent anyone from passing into the “Old City” by any means and for any reason. Recently, however, there has been an unusual surge in rarities not seen since that time. It seems likely that some unscrupulous people have found a way into the, now overgrown and ruined, sealed part of the city for their own purposes.
